We recognize what an important and joyful time this is for you and your family. Your spouse or birthing partner is welcome to be with you as much as you would like throughout your stay.
Please bring comfortable but appropriate attire for your partner’s overnight stay. Other family members or friends are welcome to visit between the hours of 9am and 9pm.
Grandparents and siblings are honored guests in the Family Birthing Center. However, we do
encourage short visiting periods to allow you to rest and get to know your new baby. Siblings
are not permitted to stay overnight.
During your labor, short visitation periods are allowed but visitors will be asked to leave the
room during procedures and to wait in the Galleria, just outside the Birthing Center. We ask that visitors not wait in the hallways of the Birthing Center out of respect for the privacy
of other patients.
At the time of delivery, staff may limit the number of visitors in your room because of
limited space. You may be asked to identify who you would like to be present during the
actual birth of the baby. We will be glad to give updates to visitors waiting for the “big news”
out in the Galleria. In the event of an emergency or other special circumstances, the staff will request visitors to wait in the Galleria. Your nurse or physician will provide direction in these situations.
