Teen Volunteer Opportunities

MidState Medical Center is proud of its exceptional Teen Volunteer Program.

High school students between the ages of 15-18 provide invaluable assistance to many hospital departments.

Volunteering is an excellent way to learn about the exciting world of healthcare and may encourage you to explore healthcare as a future career.


Teen Volunteer Program - Year Round

The Teen Volunteer Program at MidState Medical Center is offered year-round. In order to apply for the program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a high school student between the ages of 15 – 18

  • You must commit to a minimum of 40 hours throughout the school year – if you have a Community Service Form from your school, it will not be signed until 40 hours have been completed

Summer Teen Volunteer Program

The Volunteer Department at MidState Medical Center is excited to again provide a Summer Experience during summer 2020 for high school students between the ages of 15 – 18!

The 2020 Summer Teen Volunteer Program Application window will be January 1st, 2020 - April 1st, 2020 (any applications received before January 1st and after April 1st will not be accepted).

The program will begin on June 22, 2020

To Apply

  • You must commit to a minimum of 40 hours throughout the summer session. Community Services forms for schools will not be signed off by our department until this is completed.
  • Complete the Online Teen Application Form 
  • Have your parent/guardian complete:
  • Provide a Health Clearance Form completed by your primary care physician 
  • Complete an in-person interview
  • Attend Mandatory Orientation (date/time TBD) and Patient Aide Training if accepted into that program
