Dedicated to furthering the interests of MidState Medical Center.
The Auxiliary has distinguished itself as an integral part of the hospital. Its fundraising efforts have been responsible for contributions to important undertakings at the hospital. The Auxiliary is rich with a history of providing ideas, financial support, and volunteerism to complement the ever-spiraling growth and technological needs of healthcare.
History
The Auxiliary has roots dating back to 1885 when there were initial discussions of having a local hospital in Meriden. A group of women formed a committee to raise funds for the future hospital which opened in 1892. They continued to raise funds for the hospital and, in 1951, the Auxiliary was officially formed and continued the tradition of ambassadorship, support and volunteerism.
Today, the Auxiliary serves as a non-profit organization for individuals dedicated to supporting the hospital through various fund-raising activities and has donated thousands of dollars for hospital equipment, patient programs and services. The Auxiliary proudly supports the hospital’s mission to improve the health and healing of all.

Networking: Through volunteering and/or attending meetings, you will have an opportunity to meet new people and socialize with friends and hospital staff.
