MidState offers a whole range of support programs to help you prepare for the arrival of your newborn. From classes on labor and delivery to breastfeeding to preparing siblings for the arrival of a new brother or sister, MidState can provide you with the information and special support you need.

Childbirth Preparation Class
A two-week in depth series designed to give patients an understanding of birth options and coping skills for labor and delivery.*
*Available for MidState Medical Center patients
Breastfeeding Class
This is a one-time class to help the mom-to-be understand more about the benefits of breastfeeding for herself and her baby, and provides basic instruction in breastfeeding;
Breastfeeding Support Group
Join new or experienced mothers and their babies in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss the adjustments and successes of breastfeeding for the 0-6 month age group. Group discussion is open format and facilitated by a Lactation Consultant or Nurse.
