Billing & Insurance Information

Please be sure that you and your doctor have met any insurance authorization requirements. When requirements are not met, your insurance company may deny payment, and you will be responsible. Please read our Financial Assistance Brochure (in both English and Spanish), or our Financial Assistance Policy for more information.

The Service Access Department (Admitting & Registration) will contact you in advance to collect insurance and other information. Pre-registration allows us to have your hospital forms ready when you arrive for your appointment.

You may also contact a Financial Counselor to pre-register by calling 203.694.8456, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please bring your insurance cards and necessary co-payment for your visit.

At MidState Medical Center, we are committed to providing you with the best available healthcare along with convenient billing services, payment options and financial assistance. To further assist you, you can now pay your bill online.

For your convenience, Credit Card payments are accepted over the telephone, on-line or at our cashier window, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday - Friday. (The Cashier's Office is located on the first floor, next to Radiology.) Credit Cards accepted include: Visa®, American Express®, Discover®, and MasterCard®.

  • Counseling
    Financial Counselors are available to assist families and patients with a variety of financial needs. We are able to assist those who are uninsured, underinsured, need financial assistance, or need to set up payment arrangements. The financial counseling staff may assist you with applying for different government programs, or give you advice on how to proceed. If you do not qualify for any type of government programs, we can review your financial status to see if you meet the guidelines for financial assistance.

    As a courtesy, MidState Medical Center will submit bills to your insurance company and do everything possible to advance your claim. However, it may become necessary for you to contact your insurance company, or supply additional information to them, for claims processing requirements or to expedite payment. You should remember that your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company, and you have the final responsibility for payment of your hospital bill.
