Have you scheduled your annual mammogram?

To get the most out of your mammogram, you should know your risk for breast cancer.

You can take the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool by visiting the National Cancer Institute at http://www.cancer.gov/bcrisktool

Be sure to scroll down the risk calculator and answer the questions. Then click on “Calculate” to see your results.

When you schedule your appointment with Radiology Associates, be sure to mention what your risk factor is. If you have a high risk factor, we will schedule you with our “Breast Health Care Coordinator” for a free consultation on a specific day, at our new office, Wallingford Diagnostic Imaging Center & Midstate Woman’s Imaging Center, 863 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, CT 06492.

If there are insurance or financial issues that have prevented you from scheduling your mammogram, please contact Eileen or Debra at the telephone numbers below and we would be happy to assist you.

To make an appointment, please call, 203.694.8984.

The American Cancer Society Recommendations for Early Breast Cancer Detection:

  • Women age 40 and older should have a screening mammogram every year and should continue to do so for as long as they are in good health.
  • Current evidence supporting mammograms is even stronger than in the past. In particular, recent evidence has confirmed that mammograms offer substantial benefits for women in their 40s. Women can feel confident about the benefits associated with regular mammograms for finding cancer early.
