Lucille Janatka, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of MidState Medical Center, Meriden, CT has announced that Jeffrey Flaks, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer recently advanced to “Fellow” status in the American College of Healthcare Executives, an international professional society representing nearly 30,000 healthcare executives.

Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in ACHE; nearly 3,000 healthcare executives in the nation hold this distinction. With comprehensive programs in credentialing, education, career development, publications, research, and public policy, the American College of Healthcare Executives works towards its goal of improving the health status of society by advancing healthcare leadership and management excellence.

They must also complete case studies or a thesis on a healthcare management topic, or participate in a year-long mentorship project.
