Quality Health Information to Improve the Quality of Your Life
The Tremaine Resource Center is a multimedia community resource for current, reliable health and wellness information. We offer patients, family members, health practitioners and the general public a wide variety of consumer-oriented and professional materials and services to support education and encourage healthy lifestyles. Visitors to the Resource Center may simply browse. Or, they may borrow books, videos, newsletters and magazines, consult with a medical librarian, or conduct their own research via the Internet. There is no charge for any of our services.
Hours of Service
Consumer Library: Weekdays, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM; Wednesday evenings until 7:00 PM
Clinical Library: Open to hospital staff and doctors 24/7* *Hospital employees may access the Resource Center after hours and on weekends by calling hospital security.
Borrowing Materials
Book loans 2 weeks
Video and audio loans 2 weeks
Magazines, newsletters and reference materials do not circulate.
Photocopying
A photocopier is available to copy magazine articles and reference materials. There is no charge for copying.
Information Resources and Services for Clinicians
The Tremaine Resource Center houses both a consumer health library and a clinical library for MidState's physicians, nurses, and other health professionals. The Resource Center partners with the hospital's clinical staff to educate patients about medical conditions and treatments. We also support the research, continuing education, and informational needs of our hospital physicians and staff.
